Had a great weekend with 'Bridge Beauties' in this beautiful home is located right off the square in Goderich, Ontario. We found the home to be very spacious, very clean and the gardens and outside sitting areas were beautiful with flowers and greenery and plenty of room for all of us. The town of Goderich is beautiful and we were in walking distance to square and even lake where we enjoyed a beautiful sunset. There were 8 of us at the house and everyone was very comfortable and happy with each and every room. The kitchen was well equipped and was great to have linens, towels, etc. provided. ...We were lucky enough to have the large farmers market in a beautiful setting around the square on Saturday, many vendors and nice sunny day! ...We would recommend the place to anyone looking for great accommodations in Goderich and plan to spend another Bridge Beauty Weekend here again!

Back home in the city after a great 4 weeks in Goderich! ... It was refreshing to have so many things to do within an easy walk of the house- restaurants, movie theatre, beach, farmer's market, hiking trails, cycling trails etc etc!! The house itself was outstanding. Freshly painted, spacious, liveable. There were 13 of us at the house one weekend- and everyone had their own bed! ...My wife and I thoroughly enjoyed the huge third floor master retreat. ...The kitchen was put to the test with numerous large meals prepared from scratch for our group. ...Beautiful outdoor gardens. Spacious front porch to sit, read and watch the world go by. ... Great job Robin and James!!
We had a great family get together in this beautiful rambling house. The rooms are spacious, and the décor is simple and elegant. The kitchen plan is well thought out so no one in one another's way. The house is located within the town of Goderich, and there is a splash pad park 2 blocks from the house. The town is a beautiful ... and the people are friendly. We would love to do another family gathering at this house.
We loved this beautiful heritage home in Goderich. Our family has been vacationing in the shores of Lake Huron for many years, mostly camping on the great provincial parks close to Goderich. As we were a large group with visiting relatives from Scotland we searched the area for a house capable of hosting our family. We came across this great and spacious house, from the moment we set foot on the property we loved it. Nice gardens, ample interior spaces, comfortable beds, good linens, towels, etc. Kitchen was well equipped for large cooking. We met the owners James and Robin on arrival and they gave us a tour of the property, very nice and friendly hosts. House is centrally located a few blocks from central square and many restaurants... Point Farms and Pinery Provincial Parks a quick drive away as well as many hiking trails around Goderich. Will recommend the place to anyone looking for good quality accommodations in Goderich.
James and Robin exceeded our expectations during our stay at the Nelson House. They went out of their way to set up a downstairs bedroom for our elderly grandfather that would have struggled with the stairs. The house is fully equipped and surpassed our needs. The outside seating and garden areas are beautiful and peaceful! It really was our home away from home. We loved our family time in Goderich and would give them our highest recommendation!
This beautiful home is located right off the square in Goderich, Ontario. The home is very spacious, very clean and has beautiful flower gardens, a gazebo and a lovely big porch. Robin and James were were very gracious hosts. The town of Goderich has a beautiful beach and the Huron County Museum and Jail should be visited. I would highly recommend this home to anyone who visits Goderich as many sights are within walking distance. The sunset over Lake Huron should not be missed!
Our extended family immediately felt at home in the beautiful heritage home known as Nelson House in Goderich, On. Each room exudes charm and grace. The bedrooms are spacious and comfortable. The living spaces are large and accommodating to a few or many. The large kitchen is a joy to cook in and the elegant dining room reminded us of family dining as it used to be. All the amenities are modern and robust. The front porch and gardens are peaceful and romantic. A lovely stroll to the historic town center or to the shore is a must several times a day. What a lovely historic home and town!
What a terrific house to spend time with family. It was as comfortable and inviting as you need. Multi bedrooms to choose from. Wonderfully comfortable beds. It was quiet and so close to the town square. Very homey neighbourhood. You can walk to everything....The facilities had everything we could need, The home owners thought of Everything. We will return for sure. Goderich is a great little vacation spot and this home suits our needs to a t.
